The Date of the Century, part 4

My new note read:

My Loralee,
Oh, I am so glad you are coming to see me! I long for the moment when I will see you—that moment not far from now!
You should have a few things from Castner Knott's—I hope you will like them.
Now, you must go to Liege's, a small shop at 122 North Spring Street, just across from the pharmacy on the corner of College and Spring Streets. Ask for Janet, and bring your things, including the roses and camera.
I will be so happy to see you today!
Your Admirer

When I drove Liege's (say lee-zhays) I actually saw Bruce in the shop window, and was hoping he was going to take me to lunch. But I had to drive past and then turn around to find a parking space; when I got back, Bruce was gone!

At Liege's they'd had a delicious lunch catered in from The Front Porch, a really nice restaurant in town. This card (above) was on my luncheon table; I loved the definition of "admire" —and "admirer," too, taken straight from the dictionary. Very romantic! I had a lunch of three different and delicious salads and some fresh-squeezed lemonade. After I ate my lunch, I got a facial, a manicure, a foot massage, a red rose and, yes, another note.

Continued tomorrow . . .

No weigh in? You've been doing so well. I hope you're not giving up.
