Dear Friends and Family:

When Jason was preparing for his mission we did a bunch of bake sales, all summer long, as fundraisers. Now Michael is on his way out and my cookbook is the new fundraiser! To get this pricing I need to put in an order of 30 books by Friday, April 24. The cookbooks will be available about three weeks later (around May 15—what a fabulous (slightly late) Mother's Day gift! ;-))
Loralee's Cookbook is full of great recipes, cute pictures, and it's pretty fun reading, too! To order yours, post a comment here on my blog, or comment on facebook, or just give me a phone call and get a check to me before April 24.

Thanks!

Yay! I was hoping you'd be selling your cookbook. I'd like 2 coil-bound books please. You can call me or email me twistedchickenballoon@gmail.com for payment arrangements.

Thanks,

Top 10 Reasons to get "Loralee's Cookbook":

1. I LOVE Loralee's breadbowls.

2. I seem to recall that "Loralee's Cookbook" retells a sheepish tale about, hmm, was it "no-knead bread?"

3. This cookbook includes the MOST bodacious pancake recipe. Ever.

4. When I have no idea what I'm doing in the kitchen, which is often, Loralee's Cookbook saves the day.

5. It has a picture of the THE most shapely cow I have ever seen. Truly Awesome.

6. The little pictures Loralee drew of herself are so dang cute!

7. When I have no idea what to make for dinner, THIS book has ideas! When all I can find in the house is some pasta and a sausage, THIS book will give you a recipe for it—a GREAT recipe, as if you had PLANNED to make that recipe!

8. This book is great for cooks of all skill levels: it has definitions, conversion charts, a glossary of spices and terms and tools, and how to make SUBSTITUTIONS, for those times you are fresh out of buttermilk or baking powder!

9. Michael is a good cause. Please, help him get out of, um, I mean, out ON his mission!

10. Paul's Shrimp Lasagna.

Here's a link to an ad for my friend Loralee Johnson North's cookbook. I've seen her working on this for over a decade now, and I heartily recommend it, having eaten lots of her cooking over the years. Plus, a couple of my recipes are in it--kind of an honor. :) She's selling her cookbook to raise funds for her son Michael's mission--a great cookbook and a great cause!
