Aside from the obvious—fabulous 80's hairstyle, dresses, backdrops, etc—can you see a difference between this picture:

I'm guessing it's your teeth. In the first picture it looks like there is a gap between the front teeth and I don't see it in the second. Although, they are incredibly similar and you look very attractive in them!
In the second picture you're wearing a ring on you're left hand, in the first you're not. That's my guess.
I have another guess...In the second picture it looks like your jaw is slightly forward more. Was the second one taken after you had your jaw surgery?
your hair is slightly darker in the one on the right.
